Udang Bakar Madu (Roasted Honey Shrimp)

Ingredients:
- 500 gr fresh shrimp (peeled and deveined, if desired)
- 5 tbs vegetable oil
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbs grated ginger
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp honey
- 4 tsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp chili sauce
- 1 tsp salty soy sauce
- 1 tsp kaffir lime juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 cup water
- salt to taste
Directions:
- In a bowl, mix 2 tbs vegetable oil with salt and lime juice. Brush shrimp with the oil to marinate. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 325F (160C). Roast the shrimp until fine. Remove and set aside.
- Stir-fry garlic and ginger powder with remaining vegetable oil until fragrant. Add sugar, salt, pepper, honey, tomato sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Remove.
- Dip the shrimp in the sauce mixture. Roast briefly in the oven. Remove.
- Add cornstarch and water to the remaining sauce mixture. Heat in a saucepan, stir to mix until the sauce blends well.
- Serve shrimp with the sauce.
